Flexible Structuring of the Plant Identification Course
The course is usually held on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. It can also be held over two evenings (Wed & Thurs) and then Saturday morning.

This course is designed to take your plant knowledge one step further by equipping you to be able to place different plants into their larger families by learning to recognise similar characteristics within those families which will make identification that much easier. It will also teach you new and varied techniques to be able to identify a broad spectrum of plants within this extensive plant kingdom.

Anyone wanting to improve their plant identification and plant research skills, and to feel more comfortable using the correct botanical names of plants. The course is both fun and mentally stimulating. A must for anyone in the landscaping industry.

Content
This interactive three-session course will give participants the tools with which to identify plants and assist them with effective plant research, enabling them to choose plants wisely for their garden or design project. Students will visit a private garden and an indigenous nursery, and are taught the relevance of botanical names and, most importantly, how to do effective plant research using a variety of media.

No, but it will help to have some understanding of plant groups, eg. Shrubs, trees, perennials, etc.
